Funded by the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust, Hidden Stories is an opportunity for communities to be able to have their voices heard and share their experiences through a range of platforms. Working with people who do not regularly have access to opportunities to share their stories, the project aims to capture these experiences and enable the storyteller to learn new skills. By utilising storyboards and vision boards, incorporating Rap and sound recording, some participants have found themselves being able to release emotions and feelings and translate them into words or images.
Working with organisations in Swansea where people are accessing emotional and practical support, the project has been able to provide additional opportunities for mental health and wellbeing sessions. By learning new ways of expressing themselves, participants are able to decide what they want to do, for how long and when they want to take part.
